About the Role

This position can be physically demanding, and candidates must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and travel as needed. If you’re a hard worker, love being outdoors, and enjoy a team atmosphere and camaraderie, this is the job for you! You’ll be overseeing a crew of 3-4 people on projects that typically last one to four weeks, sometimes longer.

As a commercial deep foundation company, we work in all conditions installing different types of deep foundation systems for new construction projects as well as repair applications on existing structures. Depending on the project, operating equipment is necessary along with hand digging and chipping concrete. Heavy lifting is required daily. This is a hands-on role and requires a whatever-it-takes attitude with the ability to overcome challenges as they arise.

Requirements

  • Experience as a foreman, or extensive experience in the field in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with and lead diverse teams, delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Comfort working alongside other trades.
  • Effective communication with superintendents and project managers.
  • Proficiency in operating equipment such as skid steers and excavators.
  • Adeptness at learning and interpreting blueprints.
  • Ability to have fun on the job, lead by example, and enjoy the out-of-town experiences.

About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales & Project Manager to join our team. In this dual-role position, you’ll be responsible for both driving new business and overseeing the complete lifecycle of each project from bid to completion. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about building relationships, and can balance the technical demands of project management with strategic sales initiatives.

As a Sales & Project Manager, you’ll work closely with clients to develop new business opportunities, create accurate estimates and proposals, and ensure each project’s success from inception through completion. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate with field teams and other stakeholders will be essential to meeting client expectations and delivering quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Relationship Building
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, growing and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
    • Attend industry events, engage with key stakeholders, and represent the company to increase brand visibility and reputation.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams on lead generation strategies and follow-up on new project inquiries.
  • Estimating, Bidding, & Proposal Creation
    • Prepare detailed, accurate project estimates, considering all factors that influence pricing, including materials, labor, and timelines.
    • Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals tailored to each client’s needs, clearly outlining project scope, timelines, and budget.
    • Lead bid meetings with clients to clarify project expectations and ensure alignment from the start.
  • Project Management
    • Manage each project’s lifecycle from bid acceptance through completion, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
    • Coordinate and communicate with on-site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules and resolve any challenges.
    • Conduct regular check-ins with clients and provide updates on project progress, addressing any changes to scope or budget with transparency. Ensure all work adheres to quality standards and regulatory requirements, conducting final walkthroughs and sign-offs as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in sales, business development, or project management in the construction, engineering, or related industries.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in estimating software and project management tools; familiarity with contract negotiations and scope creation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities, with a focus on client service and team collaboration.
  • Project & Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and solution-oriented approach, capable of adjusting to project-specific requirements and changes in client needs.
  • Travel & Presence: Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and project oversight.
